FORMAT
The 2025 WALA will have a maximum field of 60 female amateur players. It will consist of 72 holes of stroke play without a cut. In the event of a tie after 72 holes, the winner is decided by a sudden-death playoff.

Monday, November 17th

All Day Players Arrival

7:00 PM – Registration

Tuesday, November 18th

8:00-11:00 AM – Practice Round

Wednesday, November 19th

9:00 AM – AM-AM Shotgun starts (holes 1 to 18)

Lorena Ochoa’s presence during the day

2:00 PM – AM-AM Awards Ceremony

2:00 PM – Practice Round

Thursday, November 20th

8:00-11:00 AM – First Round

Friday, November 21st

8:00-11:00 AM – Second Round

Saturday, November 22nd

8:00-11:00 AM – Third Round

4:30-5:30 PM – Clinic with Annika

Sunday, November 23rd  

8:00-11:00 AM – Final Round

4:00 PM approx. – Award Ceremony

THE CHAMPION RECEIVES:

  • Women’s Amateur Latin America Trophy
  • An invitation to compete in the 2026 AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes
  • An invitation to compete in The Amundi Evian Championship 2026 at the Evian Resort Golf Club
  • An invitation to compete in The Chevron Championship 2026 at The Club at Carlton Woods
  • An exemption into The Women’s Amateur Championship at Muirfield
  • An exemption into The Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex (given age eligibility)

The champion and runner-up will receive*:

  • An invitation to the South American Amateur Championship

The Top-3 players will receive*:

  • An invitation to the next Women’s Amateur Latin America
  • An exemption into The Women’s Amateur Championship

The Top-3 players and ties will receive:

  • An exemption into The Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex (given age eligibility)

* How Ties Will Be Decided

In the event of a tie for first place, a hole-by-hole play-off will be held on holes to be determined at an appropriate time, until a winner emerges. The play-off will start as soon as possible after the last group finishes and scores are officially accepted.

In the event of a tie for 2nd and 3rd place, the positions will be defined by matching scorecards.

These exemptions will apply provided the players maintain their Amateur Status.

TV COVERAGE:

Golf Channel Latin America will produce 5 episodes of the “Live From WALA 2025” show, featuring highlights from each round, interviews with players and organizers, analysis, statistics, and post-round information.
